Hong Kong Players is delighted to be offering this workshop led by one of the titans of contemporary theatre, whose stage production of On the Waterfront is a highlight of the 2010 Hong Kong Arts Festival. Steven Berkoff will lead participants in activities that explore the power and possibilities of the human body in creating works of theatre. This workshop is a unique opportunity for actors and directors to learn from a true master of his craft.

About the Workshop Leader
Steven Berkoff has achieved world-wide renown as an actor, director and playwright. His plays include East, Greek, Sink the Belgrano!, Decadence and adaptations of works by Aeschylus, Kafka and Edgar Allan Poe, and have been performed in countries around the world and translated into many languages. He has appeared in over fifty films, including A Clockwork Orange, Octopussy, The Krays, Absolute Beginners and Beverly Hills Cop. As a stage performer, he is perhaps best known for his one-man works Shakespeare's Villains, Actor, Dog and The Tell-tale Heart. His productions of his own plays, as well as plays by Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde, have been staged in the West End, the New York Shakespeare Festival and in world tours.
