The Snow King – The Mini Panto

It’s that time of year again – oh yes it is! That fabulous musical extravaganza, the mini-panto is back. Based on Hong Kong Players’ Christmas panto, The Snow Queen which was staged during the 2016 Christmas season, the mini panto is a musical entertainment starring seven young people with Down Syndrome who will get up onstage to share their talent and their endless enthusiasm with audiences.

This year’s event marks the third year running that Hong Kong Players is joining forces with the Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association to create a magical mini panto. The first two shows have both been joyous occasions in a room full of love and this year’s promises more of the same – with stand-out performances and songs including True Colours and Ice Ice Baby.

Last year we stepped into the magical world of Cinderella and this year we are heading to the Snow Kingdom, where all is dismal and cold – and it’s not just down to the weather! The Snow King is unhappy and he wants everyone else to be unhappy too. Come along and find out who will save the day by making the Snow King smile again and letting the sun come out!
